About / Chris
ello my name is Chris Dold, and I am a Chinese American filmmaker and post professional based out of Los Angeles. Though I was born in California, I've spent most my life on the East Coast, raisedin
the suburbs of rural Maryland, and studying filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, where I earned a BFA concentrating in Editing & Sound. While attending UNCSA I won the 2016 A.C.E. Student Editing Competition, receiving a junior "Eddie" award from the American Cinema Editors Society.
Since graduating, I have worked in cutting rooms all over Los Angeles, working my way from Post PA to Assistant Edtior. I've worked on everything from studio projects for Netflix, Sony, and Blumhouse, as well as indie films and documentaries. In addition to assistant work, I also create visual art, and am experienced in color correction and visual effects solutions.
Most recently, I just wrapped cutting my first feature film, Apocalypse A-Go-Go, which premiered at the Portland Film Festival in 2020. I also served as co-producer on the film.
